Liverpool's hopes of signing Bukayo Saka have all but ended after the forward has now agreed a new contract to extend his stay Arsenal.
The 21-year-old, who has helped guide the Gunners to the top of the Premier League this season, will sign his new deal after a breakthrough was reached in talks, with his current contract set to expire in 2024.
Liverpool, along with Manchester City, had been reportedly tracking the England international and rumours last year surfaced of a surprise move being considered.

The Athletic (h/t the Daily Mirror) report it may take some time for the actual contract to be signed, but an agreement in principle is in place for Saka's long-term stay in North London.
Although joining Liverpool was always an unlikely prospect, it wasn't beyond the realms of possibility with Jurgen Klopp reported to be a huge admirer of the Arsenal academy graduate.
Pep Guardiola has joined Klopp in being a fan of the England wide man, while Serie A side Juventus were also thought to be keeping an eye on the situation.
