Bukayo Saka has hailed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a “legend” after the striker completed his move to Barcelona.
After falling out of favour at Arsenal, the 32-year-old left the club by mutual consent just after deadline day and was formally unveiled as a Barca player on Thursday.
During that press conference, Aubameyang admitted to having taken issue with manager Mikel Arteta towards the final few months of his time in North London.
“Yeah, I think it was just with him,” he said.
“I can’t say much, he wasn’t happy, I stayed calm and that’s it.”
In Saka, along with teammates Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe, Arteta has unearthed the future of Arsenal’s frontline, albeit one that is going through a concerning dry patch at the moment.
Thank you for everything @auba

The England international enjoyed a good relationship with Aubameyang, picking up the nickname of “Little Chilli” from his former teammate after emerging as a regular starter for the club.
