An apartment building was evacuated following an early morning fire in Dublin city centre.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze on Excise Walk in Dublin 1 at around 12.20am. Footage shared by a Dublin Live reader shows thick flames billowing from a building on the quays.
A number of Dublin Fire Brigade units can be seen rushing to the scene of the blaze. Residents were evacuated as the brave members of the fire brigade battled the flames

A DFB spokesperson said: "Firefighters responded to a fire in a high rise building off Spencer Dock early this morning. A prompt evacuation helped prevent injuries and a family pet was taken to safety by firefighters.
"Evacuate if you hear a fire alarm and don't re-enter until the all clear is given."
