Bugzy Malone has addressed the rumours that he is dating Love Island star Gemma Owen in a new social media post.
The Manchester-born rapper, 32, was reported to have been dating the dressage rider, 19, following a string of undercover dates, earlier this week.
Malone, whose real name is Aaron Davies, shut down the romance rumours on Instagram on Wednesday, as he directly addressed Gemma’s famous footballer father Michael Owen.
Next to a series of shirtless selfies posted, Davies wrote: “@themichaelowen your daughter looks lovely rkid, but 19 just isn’t my cup of tea or coffee. Someone go tell @thesun to BEHAVE!”
One follower jokingly commented following the post: “Michael Owen has 24 hours to reply”.
Davies’ response comes after a source claimed to The Sun: “Gemma and Aaron have enjoyed a few dates over the past few weeks.
“They have told their closest friends they are dating and seem really happy together.”
They added that Davies and Gemma were in “early” stages of their romance and had decided to “keep their relationship out of the public eye for now.”
The false dating report emerged after Gemma announced her split with ex Luca Bish in November.
The ex-Islander star has also shut down the romance rumours between her and Davies, telling Mail Online: “I have never met or spoken to him and we don’t follow each other on social media. I am not dating and I am definitely single.”
She continued: “Just after Christmas, I had much needed time with my family and friends and I am working on myself. I am not going to date anytime soon and I’m not looking.
“On a personal level, I want to work on my happiness and investing time in people close to me, my family and friends and just being content in myself.”
Gemma came in at joint second place with ex beau Bish, 23, in the Love Island final, aired in August.
The pair became official soon after leaving the villa and had shared their plans to move in together, before mutually going their separate ways.
Davies was said to have got engaged to his girlfriend of nine years and mother of his child in December 2019.
