How much does it cost to change or cancel my booking?
All bookings with Budget allow you to cancel or amend your plans free of charge, so long as you do so 48 hours or more before the first day of your rental. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours to go still qualify for a refund, but you will have an amount deducted from the total, which will be calculated on a per order basis based on which country you've booked for and how long your booking is scheduled to last.
Is there a Budget app?
Yes, customers can download the Budget app free of charge for Apple and Android devices. The app allows you to get quotes & make bookings on the go, plus you can manage existing bookings, add extras, and cancel any plans that go awry.
What is a Budget Quickpass?
Quickpass lets you provide some key details ahead of time to speed up the pick up of your rental vehicle on the day, so all you'll need to provide on the day is your signature. You'll need to have your driving license and payment details to hand to complete the form (which can mean two payment methods for pricier rental vehicles), but you don't need to fill out the form when placing your booking. For each booking you make, Budget will send you reminders to complete the form via email, giving you plenty of time to complete the process in order to qualify for Quickpass' benefits.
What extras can I add to my Budget car rental?
Budget offers a number of extras that you can add on to your order at the checkout. These include different tiers of vehicle insurance cover, as well as child & child booster car seats, GPS systems, additional drivers and roadside assistance plus (which covers you against getting locked out, losing your key, your car battery running out, or getting a flat tyre). Each of these add-ons are priced separately based on how long you're renting your vehicle, with total for each extra listed at the checkout.

Keep an eye out for limited time offers on car hire during flash sales, from select locations, or at certain times of year. These deals can reduce prices by as much as 30%, and are usually only available for a limited time or on a small subset of locations or times of year.

Setting up an account with Budget is free and lets you get access to personalised discounts that you won't find anywhere else. You can view these deals through your web browser or the brand's app, with deals refreshed regularly.
Book in advance to save
Booking ahead is almost always cheaper than booking last minute, so a little forward planning can go a long way towards helping you get the best prices. Make sure to give yourself as much time before your selected travel dates as possible to maximise your savings.
Choose the smallest vehicle
The smaller the vehicle you are renting, the less you'll generally pay, so give careful consideration to the size of the vehicle you want to hire and think about whether you'll need all the extra space a larger alternative would offer. Downsizing can shave as much as £20 off your quote.
Avoid any unnecessary extras
Budget offers a number of extras that you can add to your order at the checkout such as child seats, booster seats, GPS devices, and the ability to have an additional driver. If you plan ahead and bring your own car seats, this can save you as much as £15 a day.
