Budget buys: What the median house price can buy you in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie

NEW CoreLogic data released earlier this week revealed that the median house price in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie has dropped once again.

The median price in the region for a house is now $841,296.

It spells good news for buyers who have been waiting for the property market to calm down after prices soared to unprecedented levels during the pandemic.

Here are five properties in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie on the market that fall below the current median price.

Positioned close to the centre of Cardiff with the convenience of shops, supermarkets and eateries, this renovated home is listed for auction with a guide of $650,000.
