It's been a rough year for trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney after a simple video she posted seemingly blew up the entire internet (not to mention Bud Light's sales).
Despite a near-constant outpouring of hate for months on end, Mulvaney has done her best to focus on the good while being honest about the bad. She did just that on Aug. 27 during her acceptance speech for a Streamy Award, which are given to social media creators. Mulvaney was honored with the award for Breakout Creator.

In the speech, Mulvaney referenced her "days of girlhood" series where she documented her coming out and transition process, saying, "My life has been changed for the better, but on the flip side there's been an extreme amount of transphobia and hate. And I know that my community is feeling it, and I now know our allies are feeling it."

"And I look around this room and I just see so many amazing allies that have platforms. And I think allyship needs to look differently and you need to support trans people publicly and proudly," she said to enthusiastic applause.
Before she left the stage, Mulvaney made a joke aimed at a 2023 filled with controversy: “Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m gonna go have a beer!”
While Mulvaney seems to be moving on from the Bud Light debacle, the same cannot be said for the beer brand itself. Since Mulvaney shared it on her social media back in April, Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) -) has lost 30% of its customer base, leading the company to return to its Americana-fueled advertising approach.
