The first domino of the return of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has fallen and it isn’t great for the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, soon-to-be free agent center Ryan Jensen is planning to re-sign with Tampa, taking the top center option off the board before free agency even begins.
Pittsburgh needs to continue to re-tool the offensive line and getting a talented veteran like Jensen would have allowed the Steelers to move Kendrick Green to guard.
But like the Steelers front office, there is no panic. There are still very viable options out there with more to cut as teams trim salary. Ben Jones of the Tennessee Titans and Matt Paradis of the Carolina Panthers should be available and Paradis in particular has experience with new Steelers offensive line coach Pat Meyer.
And after bringing back Tom Brady, Buccaneers now bringing back his center Ryan Jensen, per his agent @MikeMcCartney7.
