Buccaneers eyeing two more Rams coaches for offensive coordinator position

As teams continue to assemble their coaching staff for the 2025 season, the interview requests keep rolling in for Rams assistants.

Two more coaches are in the running to become the Buccaneers’ next offensive coordinator in addition to Nate Scheelhaase, each interviewing for the job on Tuesday. Tampa Bay announced it has completed interviews with Rams tight ends coach/pass game coordinator Nick Caley and quarterbacks coach Dave Ragone for its offensive coordinator position.

Caley is reportedly viewed as the favorite to become the Jets’ offensive coordinator under Aaron Glenn but he’s drawing interest from the Buccaneers, too. This is Ragone’s first interview for an offensive coordinator position this offseason after previously being the Falcons’ OC from 2021-2023.

Sean McVay has said the Rams’ coaching staff will remain the same in 2025 unless coaches get opportunities elsewhere, so he’d like to keep some continuity following a promising 2024 campaign.

As much as he loves seeing his assistants get promotions with other teams, there is value in keeping the same staff together from year to year.
