Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has canceled his remaining pre-draft visits with NFL teams, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The news adds speculation that Young is already certain he will be drafted by the Panthers with the No. 1 pick in this month’s NFL draft.
The 2021 Heisman winner has already met with both the Panthers and the Texans, who have the No. 2 pick in the draft.
Young has been the favorite to be the top pick in the draft for some time, and it appears to be an inevitability at this point. Since his freshman year with the Tide, Young has won a national championship, a Heisman, the Maxwell award and was named the AP College Player of the Year.
This past season, he led Alabama to an 11–2 record and a Sugar Bowl victory over Kanas State. He finished 2022 with 3,328 passing yards and threw 32 touchdown passes to just five interceptions.
The first round of the NFL draft kicks off on April 27 at 8 p.m. ET.
