The BST Hyde Park line-up has just gotten stronger, as Bryan Ferry has been announced as Barbra Streisand's support, alongside her A Star Is Born co-star Kris Kristofferson.
The legendary musicians will perform ahead of Streisand on Saturday July 7.
Ferry, the former Roxy Music singer, is remembered as one of the most popular frontmen of the 70s. Between Roxy Music and his solo output, he has sold more than 30 million records over the course of his career, with hits including Let’s Stick Together and Roxy Music songs Virginia Plain, Love is the Drug and More Than This.
Kristofferson is one of the most celebrated country musicians of the past five decades, as well as an acclaimed actor. He famously starred alongside Streisand in the 1977 version of A Star Is Born.
The news comes after Streisand shared a picture of herself with Kristofferson on Instagram, writing: “It was so wonderful to see my friend Kris who stopped by yesterday. Stay tuned…”
This year’s BST concert series will feature performances from the likes of Robbie Williams, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Florence and the Machine and the National.
