Brutal live on-air Celtic TV swipe at Rangers uncovered

This was the uncovered brutal dig aimed at Rangers by Celtic TV following Saturday's Scottish Cup final 2024.

Commentator Gerry McCulloch was having none of Philippe Clement and his assertions that another rebuild is required of his first team at Ibrox.

It's just 12 months on from the time that Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Filip Helander departed Glasgow, with Michael Beale overseeing a huge overhaul of the team before the 2023/24 season.

The Englishman was bagged after only two months into the campaign, with Clement drafted in as his replacement.

The Belgian, 50, has been open in recent weeks about the need for another clearout at the club, having lost out on another Scottish Premiership title to Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers and his side also won four out of the five derby meetings this season and were undefeated against Rangers throughout the campaign.

It's time for Ryan Jack, Borna Barisic and John Lundstram to move on at the end of their contracts this year.

"There will be changes, we need changes I think as a club we are in some ways at the end of a cycle," Clement said in recent weeks. "So we need to change some things."

But McCulloch - who couldn't resist a pop at the 'losers' of Saturday's fixture at Hampden - insists he's getting deja vu over Rangers' recruitment policies.

With the camera on Clement and his players, as he sternly addressed them on the pitch, the ex-STV broadcaster said: “Rangers will come off first and get their losers' medals."

He continued: "Philippe Clement talks about how it’s the end of a cycle, the end of an era, for the Rangers team and it needs to be a rebuild. That seems to happen every season.”
