Earlier this week, Dodgers relief pitcher Brusdar Graterol was reunited with his mother for the first time in seven years. On Tuesday, Ysmalia Graterol watched her son pitch in MLB for the first time in his career. On Thursday, she was on the field with him.
Ysmalia took to the field at Dodger Stadium ahead of Thursday’s matchup with the Giants in order to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Brusdar was behind the plate catching for his mother in what was an extremely heartwarming moment.
Prior to last week, Ysmalia had been denied entry to the United States due to an issue with her visa. After years of trying to resolve the issue, she was finally granted the right to travel to the country, and arrived in Los Angeles on Tuesday, greeted by an emotional Brusdar.

She captured the hearts of fans in L.A., as Dodger Stadium erupted into applause during the amazing pregame moment she shared with her son on Thursday night.
Ysmalia delivered a perfect strike for her first pitch, making the job easy for Brusdar behind the plate.
