Bruno Guimaraes' words to young fan after leaving him in tears with Newcastle shirt

A young Newcastle fan's dreams came true when Bruno Guimaraes handed him his shirt.

Five-year-old Noah Reynolds was at Newcastle United's final home game of the season against Arsenal last week when Bruno picked him out of the crowd. The Brazillian midfielder was doing a lap of appreciation with his team-mates following the 2-0 win when he heard Noah shouting his name and walked over to see him.

Bruno handed Noah his shirt and was left stunned when the little fan burst into tears of happiness at his kind gesture.

Wallsend mum Lauren Reynolds, who was at the match with son Noah, said: "The steward was so lovely and allowed us to stand right at the front where Noah continued to sing his little heart out and was clapping away waiting for the players to come around for their lap of appreciation.

"Noah began to shout at them as they passed and it just so happened Bruno heard him! Bruno looked at his girlfriend, who also looked across at Noah, and then Bruno started to walk toward us.

"It was a moment of shock that out of 52,000 people, he chose to come over to us. He climbed over the advertisement boards and came straight over to Noah, rubbing his head and handing over his top saying, ‘there you go, son’.

"Noah just burst into tears in total awe that he’d just received Bruno's top! Bruno apologised, but I assured him it was happy tears and he’d just made Noah’s life.

"He continued to shake some people's hands around us and then jumped back over the boards walking back to his girlfriend, who was still looking at us saying, ‘aww’. It was a wholesome moment that we will treasure forever."

Lauren, 23, said her son called it 'the best day ever' and couldn't stop crying after receiving the shirt.

"He keeps saying it was the best day ever and he still can’t believe it happened to him," she said.

"The tears continued the full way home and even the next morning. When he got up for school and saw the top hanging there, he had a little cry again. "

Mum Lauren now hopes that her son will be able to meet Bruno again to thank him.

"For the biggest littlest Newcastle fan, he will never forget that moment and is desperate to meet Bruno to say thank you," she continued.

"He just kept saying he couldn’t believe it and couldn’t wait to tell all his friends at school. He just couldn’t stop crying!

"Bruno is his favourite player and even more so now, but he just has so much love as a whole for Newcastle.

"We’ve taken him to the training ground to meet some of the players and take pictures, which he absolutely loved, and he is so desperate to go back."
