Bruno Guimaraes has opened up on his future at Newcastle United amid interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid. The 24-year-old has recently become heavily linked with an exit from St James' Park as clubs look to strengthen their midfield options in January.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues and Los Blancos have expressed an interest in the Brazil international. He joined the Magpies in the summer for £40million and will have four years remaining on his deal by the summer.
The report adds that Newcastle are preparing to extend the Guimaraes' contract amid the growing interest in his services. It's said that the Brazilian will be offered an increased £200,000-a-week deal in Tyneside.

Todd Boehly is believed to have a good relationship with Newcastle's owners, which could prove to be a huge advantage over Real Madrid. The Magpies' co-owner Amanda Staveley was spotted in the stands at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea's clash with Tottenham in August.
The ChronicleLive state that Staveley and her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi spoke with Blues co-owner Behdad Eghbali before the London derby. But, despite the reports linking Guimaraes with an exit and the politics of potential negotiations, the midfielder has told Sky Sports that he has no intention of leaving Newcastle.
"I feel at home," he said. "The experience I've had here has been amazing. Yes, sometimes it can be difficult to leave the house because everybody recognises me! But they [the fans] are always so friendly, so loving, not just with me but with everyone in my family.
"It's always nice when there are teams looking at you, but my plan is just to do my best at Newcastle. The rest, I leave with my agent. I have three or four years of contract left. It's so long. I swear I'm not thinking about other things.
"My focus now is just on Newcastle and the World Cup. There is a long way to go. I love playing here, I love to bond with the fans, and I want to become a legend here."
Chelsea's interest in Guimaraes comes amid the uncertain futures of Jorginho and N'Golo Kante, who both see their deals at Stamford Bridge expire at the end of the season. The £34.3million-rated midfielder has insisted that he was 'born to play in the Premier League' which comes as a huge incentive for Boehly when identifying midfield targets.
"But I think I was born to play in the Premier League," Guimaraes added. "I love the atmosphere. I love the intensity of the game. It is the most difficult league, of course.
"There are no easy games. But when you play well here, it makes you think you can play in any competition. I think that, and the pressure when I came, has helped me to develop, to be the player I am now."
