Bruno Fernandes admits he's desperate to win his first trophy with Manchester United next season and has set his sights on atoning for their 2021 Europa League heartache. United were beaten by Villarreal in last season's showpiece event.
After missing out on penalties in Gdansk - with David de Gea missing from the spot - United went into the 2021/22 season with hope and expectation. However, their charge for silverware soon fell apart in what was a truly dismal campaign.
Failure to compete for the Premier League title - as well as falling short in other competitions - has seen United have a rethink as Erik ten Hag sets about his much-needed rebuild. As far as Fernandes is concerned, that failure gives United no greater incentive.

Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo are among those on Nations League duty this month and, in tandem, the United superstars have helped Portugal to an impressive start. They drew a testing opener against Spain before putting four past Switzerland in a resounding 4-0 win.
Next up for Portugal are meetings with the Czech Republic and Switzerland for a second time. However, that man Fernandes still has one eye on the challenges ahead for United next season.
Fernandes told O Jogo : "Disappointment about not being in the Champions League next season? Disappointment was if I couldn't play football. Obviously, everyone wants to play in the Champions League.
"I'm in the Europa League and when I get there it will be to win. I've already lost one final and now I want to win it."
