Bruno Fernandes has sent an emotional message to Juan Mata after his Manchester United departure.
United officially confirmed last week that Mata will leave the club on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract on June 30 later this month. Mata's eight-and-a-half-year association has ended and the player said goodbye to fans on Friday afternoon.
United signed Mata from Chelsea for a then-club record £37.1million in January 2014 and the Spaniard won three trophies at Old Trafford. The 34-year-old started in the 2016 FA Cup final victory, as well as the 2017 League Cup and Europa League final triumphs.

Mata contributed 51 goals and 47 assists in 284 appearances at United and he made his last start against Crystal Palace.
Fernandes has now paid tribute to the Spaniard on social media, writing that it was a pleasure to play alongside him.
"One legend, magician, mentor and a true friend," Fernandes wrote.
"I couldn’t be more lucky to find someone to look for and learn in this beginning at United and the Premier League.
Was for me a pleasure play alongside with you, but more than that was amazing for me after this time having you as a friend.
"I want to wish you all the best in the future, because you deserve nothing less than the best. This is not a goodbye letter because you know that you have to come back and have a cappuccino and croissants with your friends. Legend."
