Manchester United had to settle for a point against Leeds United on Wednesday night but Jadon Sancho's goal stole the headlines.
United got off to the worst possible start as Wilfried Gnonto's strike evaded David de Gea with not even a minute on the clock. The Reds pressed for an equaliser with Alejandro Garnacho being denied on the line but the Yorkshire club were able to hold on until the break.
Three minutes after the interval, Leeds had a second when Crysencio Summerville's strike deflected off Raphael Varane for an own goal. With half an hour remaining, Erik ten Hag introduced Facundo Pellistri and Sancho into the game.

Pellistri made the first impact as his work down the right led to a cross which was superbly headed home by Marcus Rashford. With 20 minutes remaining, Sancho completed the comeback, cutting inside to fire home.
With so much happening at Old Trafford last night, here is what MEN Sport spotted that you may have missed.
Sancho's poignant celebration
Sancho's long-awaited return has been well received. During his time away from United, he went to the Netherlands to follow a training programme.
His time away seems to have done him the world of good and he was keen to lap up the praise after scoring in front of the Stretford End. Copying Rashford's celebration by pointing to his head, the 22-year-old was clearly delighted to be back and will likely be a huge part of Ten Hag's plans moving forward.
Fernandes' reaction to the equaliser
While the United players were itching to celebrate with Sancho after scoring such a crucial goal, the Reds' captain Bruno Fernandes showcased the new mentality which Ten Hag has instilled. Resisting the urge to celebrate his teammate's success, Fernandes called upon his fellow players to regroup and push for a winner.
Fernandes was the main protagonist in getting the ball back to the centre circle for the restart and while on this occasion they had to settle for a point, United showed a spirit that will serve them well moving forward.
The wait goes on for Fernandes
United's captain will have to wait until the weekend to reach a personal milestone. If the Portuguese midfielder had scored on Wednesday, the strike would have marked the 100th league goal of his career.
The omens looked good for Fernandes considering he has scored on six occasions against Leeds since moving to Old Trafford. Fortunately, the Yorkshire club are United's next opponents.
