Bruno Fernandes involved in car crash ahead of Liverpool vs Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes was involved in a car crash on Monday morning. But the Manchester United star was unharmed and has trained with his team-mates ahead of their trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool on Tuesday night.

United confirmed to Express Sport that Fernandes was involved in a crash in his Porsche ahead of training on Monday. But no parties involved are said to have sustained serious injuries and the 27-year-old, as expected, is now preparing for the massive match with Liverpool when United train this afternoon.

The Red Devils' interim manager Ralf Rangnick spoke to the media on Monday afternoon, adding clarity to the situation.

He said: "Yes, he was training with the team, obviously the accident happened on the way to Carrington. As far as I know, no-one was injured. He was okay and he'll be okay for tomorrow."

Pictures of the scenes have subsequently been published online and show damage to Fernandes' Porsche and to another vehicle.

Fernandes is a key player for United, who will be looking to move level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with victory at rivals Liverpool, who will move top of the Premier League with a win or a draw.

Liverpool come into the game full of confidence after reaching the final of the FA Cup on Saturday with a 3-2 victory over title rivals City at Wembley Stadium.
