Bruno Fernandes says Manchester United will not be daunted by the Leeds hate mob in Sunday's rematch with their bitter rivals at Elland Road.
Old foes United and Leeds meet again on Sunday - just four days after sharing a four-goal thriller at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. Erik ten Hag's side fought back from 2-0 down to salvage a draw, but dropped two points in their bid to join Arsenal and Manchester City in the title race.
Leeds, currently without a manager, will be looking to thwart United once again in their bid to claw their way away from the battle to survive the drop. The clash will be played against a backdrop of seething animosity on and off the Elland Road pitch, with extra police drafted in to cope with the toxic rivalry between both sets of fans.
But Fernandes said he and his United team-mates are unconcerned at the hostile welcome that awaits them and backed them to silence the Leeds crowd. "Nah, I'm not really worried, obviously,” said Fernandes.
"With this team, with the character that we have in this team, the passion, the desire, the togetherness we have, we aren't afraid to go anywhere to play against whatever opponent it is. I know that I will be in good hands with all of them.
"I know what this team will give, it will fight back, will give all the best and will not be afraid to play whatever is the pitch, the stadium or the team."

Reflecting on the draw with Leeds, Fernandes added: "It was really frustrating to be down in the first-half straightaway. In the second-half we conceded another goal, but to bounce back as we did was really good.
"Obviously we don't want to bounce back to 2-2. We wanted to bounce back to 3-2 and win the game, but we didn't. We had our chances, we couldn't score, but I think the spirit of the team, the passion and the great atmosphere the fans created for us was amazing.
“It was the push probably to help us to get this draw but obviously it’s not what we wanted.”
