Bruno Fernandes Assists Fainting Passenger on Portugal Flight

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes heroically helped a fellow passenger who fainted on an EasyJet flight.

The Portuguese midfielder, en route to Lisbon to join the national team, quickly stepped in when he noticed the man fainting towards the back of the plane.

As reported by The Daily Mail, Fernandes was travelling with teammate Diogo Dalot on Monday when he noticed the incident and quickly reacted by alerting the flight crew.

Witnesses say Fernandes called out urgently, “Excuse me! We need help! Excuse me! We need help!” His call to action brought the crew’s immediate attention to the fainting passenger, and Fernandes continued to assist until the situation stabilised.

Susanna Lawson, a co-passenger, shared her experience with Business Cloud, detailing how Fernandes had been at the rear of the plane when he noticed the passenger in distress.

“Bruno went to the loo at the back of the plane during the flight. We suddenly heard a shout for assistance, which got everyone’s attention,” Lawson said.

“Bruno helped the gentleman to a seat at the back, stayed with him to make sure he was OK, and then quietly returned to his seat without seeking any attention.”

Fans Applaud Bruno Fernandes’ Heroic Gesture

The incident has sparked praise from fans and passengers alike, with many applauding Fernandes for his quick thinking and humility.

Often showing leadership on the field, Fernandes’ actions off the field have highlighted his compassionate nature, showing that his role as captain extends beyond the pitch.

This incident comes during a packed schedule for Fernandes, who has played four matches in less than two weeks, representing Manchester United across multiple competitions.

Since the team’s recent managerial change, Fernandes has been instrumental in their resurgence under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, with United securing three wins and a draw in the last four games.

Despite his demanding club commitments, Fernandes remains a core part of Portugal’s national squad. He is set to play in the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches, starting with a game against Poland on Friday before wrapping up against Croatia on November 18.
