Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis has given an update about looking to the future after the dementia-stricken star celebrated his birthday.
The Die Hard actor marked turning 68 while surrounded by his children; Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 29 — his daughters with Demi Moore — as well as Mabel, 10, and Evelyn, eight, whom he shares with Emma.
Famously keeping a close bond with her ex-husband and his wife of 14 years Emma, actress Demi was also in attendance for the festivities.
Taking to Instagram after the celebration, model Emma, 44, admitted that the day had been a mental struggle, but that she had managed to “pull herself together” for the occasion.
Talking to the camera, she shared: “So, we had such a great time celebrating my husband yesterday. He had the best time. He loved his apple pie.
“So we got through that. I pulled myself together. But guess what’s tomorrow? It’s our wedding anniversary. So I’m sure I’ll be feeling all the feels.
“I will spare you on that. But wait ‘til you see that reel,” she joked.
Deciding to count their blessings instead of their tears, she decided to focus on the positives in their lives, explaining that the family have “so many beautiful things and fun things to look forward to”.
Listing the positives in her life, she continued: “Mable’s birthday is coming up; She’s turning 11. Evelyn will be turning nine. And then the birth of Demi and Bruce’s first grandchild – my step-grandchild – which we’re so excited about.
