HYDERABAD: Alleging that BJP leaders including Prime Minister and Union ministers have made promises to Telangana on various issues on various occasions, but did not keep their promises, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has come up with a booklet and CD titled "100 lies of BJP" on Monday.
BRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao released the booklet and CD at Pragati Bhavan.
The booklet was compiled by BRS social media convenors Manne Krishank, Y Satish Reddy and Jaganmohan Rao based on the promises made by PM Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and other union ministers like G Kishan Reddy, Rajnath Singh, Santosh Gangwar, Ram Kripal Yadav, BJP national president JP Nadda, state ex-president Bandi Sanjay, Haryana governor Bandaru Dattatreya as union minister earlier and BJP MPs from the state on various occasions such as public meetings, during press conferences, inside the parliament and also during poll campaigns in the past nine years.
In the book, PM Modi’s assurance such as giving national status to Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS), establishing IIM in every state, Amit Shah’s statement on various occasions and meetings like handloom park in Narayanpet, reopening Cement Corporation of India (CCI) in Adilabad, PM Modi sanctioned Rs 16,000 crore to Hyderabad metro rail project, and Union minister Kishan Reddy’s statements on rail coach factory will be set up at Kazipet, new airports to be developed in Telangana, dry ports on Godavari, and centre had sanctioned traditional medicine and the Centre approved science city in Hyderabad and Warangal. It was also mentioned he announcement made by BJP national president JP Nadda that the Centre had increased cotton MSP from Rs 5,200 to Rs 10,000 and GST will be reduced on handlooms. It is also mentioned about MLA M Raghunandan Rao, MPs Bandi Sanjay and Soyam Bapu Rao etc.
Interestingly, the BRS leaders also compiled the statements made by former union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, who is currently governor of Haryana and former vice president of India Venkaiah Naidu, when he was union minister such as steel plant at Bayyaram and SCs (Madigas) categorisation respectively.
KTR said BRS leaders should take the booklet to the people and expose the lies of BJP in the public court. The BJP leaders made promises during the elections and did not implement them and even gross injustice was done to Telangana in many issues, the minister said.
