Seahawks associate head coach Sean Desai was a hot commodity on the coaching market last year. He had several offers to choose from but ultimately chose to join Pete Carroll’s staff in Seattle.
Now that the regular season is over the coaching carousel is rotating again, and it sounds like Desai will once again have plenty of options.
According to a report by Ian Rapoport at NFL Network, the Browns have requested permission to interview Desai for their open defensive coordinator position.
The #Browns have put in a request to interview #Seahawks associate head coach for defense Sean Desai for their vacant DC job, source said. He's been impressive in Seattle, and brings the Cleveland candidate list to three — Jerod Mayo and Brian Flores are the others.

Cleveland has some great blue-chip pieces on defense like Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward. However, the team ranked on the lower end in defensive DVOA and points allowed in 2022.
