Football is finally back. Our Cleveland Browns suffocated the dynamic offense of the Cincinnati Bengals, beating them 24-3. The home opener was highly anticipated as the two rival teams had a war of words before the game. That war of words helped set the tone for the physical game. The Browns and Bengals played a violent game, full of big hits and intense hand-fighting.
The Browns’ defense was exceptionally active the entire game. Defensive starters spent the game harassing members of the Bengals’ passing attack. Joe Burrow was sacked twice and hit ten more times. Tee Higgins, who told reporters he wanted to be a number 1 wide receiver on Friday, was held to zero catches on eight targets. His subpar play was not the exception as the Browns defensive backs bullied the Bengals’ wide receivers all game.

As Cleveland likely closes this one out…the Browns D was the story of the game. Stifling coverage, great calls up front. Obviously weather had an impact but they looked fantastic today. https://t.co/WdE2dY2JIZ

Maybe this is blasphemous, but I'll say it anyway: Myles Garrett is already the best defensive player in Cleveland Browns history.
