Browns star Myles Garrett is on PFF’s mid-season All-Pro list

With a new group of teammates along the defensive line, Myles Garrett has been able to take his game to another level this year. The Browns are able to move him around to create more mismatches and he is able to rest and stay fresh. In previous years, he had to play just about every snap because no one else could perform without him. But that changed this year.

PFF has placed him on its mid-season All-Pro list, a decision that’s impossible to disagree with. Garrett has taken over several games and shifted them in the Browns’ favor. Against the Colts, he blocked a field goal and forced two fumbles, one of which was recovered by the defense for a touchdown. That’s a double-digit-point swing in that game. Those are the types of games you need to be the Defensive Player of the Year.

Now, the biggest test will be to continue this play for the entire season. He has had injuries and other situations keep him off the field in previous seasons, slowing down his production. But as long as he and the Browns’ other top defensive linemen stay healthy, it will be a great year for Garrett.
