Super Bowl week is always good for some news. For fans of the Tennessee Titans, it has already provided some interesting commentary from some former players and a few pending free agents. With the Titans holding the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft in April, there has also been a lot of speculation about what direction they are going to take and what players they may be interested in.
One news story that came out that doesn’t directly concern Tennessee is All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett asking the Cleveland Browns for a trade. Of course, the news started ripples across the social media landscape with fans coming up with trade scenarios for their franchises.
Unfortunately, for Titans fans, it appears that Garrett wants no part of Nashville.
Savage: Myles Garrett ROASTS the Titans when asked if he wants to be traded to Tennessee:
“For what, ya’ll haven’t built anything…For that I’ll stay where I’m at.”

His comments speak volumes about the current state of the franchise and why it is imperative that the new regime, along with Brian Callahan, turn things around. He isn’t wrong, as constructed the Titans are nowhere close to being a contender and for an aging veteran, that is a deal breaker in any type of transaction.
There is also no guarantee that the Titans would even be interested. After their offseason spending spree last year blew up in their faces, the new braintrust has said they are going to take a more conservative approach at building their roster. Between the money and the draft capital, making a move for Garrett doesn’t fit the model they are talking about.
There is no doubt Garrett is a game-wrecker, but for fans dreaming about him playing in Tennessee, unless he comes in as a visitor, it’s not going to happen.
