The whole earth shook in Cleveland as Browns star defensive end Myles Garrett requested a trade from the team after eight seasons.
Releasing a lengthy statement, Garrett has stated that his top priority is winning, something that he does not see as attainable in Cleveland shortly. The Browns, however, are not too keen to listen to Garrett’s demands, pushing back on trading their cornerstone player.
According to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones, the Browns responded: “We’re not entertaining offers for him.”
However, as Garrett approaches 30, he could hold out of training camp and threaten not to play to force his hand.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in Cleveland, but if Garrett continues to push for a trade and gets his wish, the foundation of the entire organization may shift. There is no recent version of the Cleveland Browns without Myles Garrett.
