In a lost season, there are still positive takeaways to carry into 2025, and that includes the performance of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Jeudy had an outstanding first year in Cleveland, setting career highs with 90 receptions for 1,229 yards and adding four touchdowns despite a dead scheme that resulted in the firing of offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey. His 90 receptions set a new Browns single-season record, surpassing former tight end Ozzie Newsome, who achieved the mark in both 1983 and 1984, and Kellen Winslow in 2006.

The Browns acquired Jeudy from Denver last offseason for fifth- and sixth-round picks in the 2024 draft and promptly signed him to a three-year, $52.5 million extension. His deal, which ranks him around 26th among receivers, looks to be a bargain as he earned a Pro Bowl starting spot.
At just 25 years old, Jeudy looks to be a cornerstone of the team’s receiving corps moving forward. His ability to separate, create yards after the catch, and improvise in scramble situations shined throughout his debut season, highlighted by a nine-catch, 235-yard performance against his former team on Monday Night Football.
Despite a disappointing season, Jeudy provides much-needed clarity and optimism for the receiver position heading into 2025.
