The Baltimore Ravens sit atop the NFL standings at 12-3 following their 33-19 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas Day.
Former Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, now starting for the Cleveland Browns, talked about the current success of his original team.
“Really well coached,” Flacco said. “A ton of talent and they make sure they bring the right guys in that are gonna fight for 60 minutes … You could talk those guys up forever. They’re just a really good football team. That’s why they’re in it every single year and when they’re really rolling they get better as the year goes on. They get more physical and all those things. Standard stuff I think for those guys. I think they should be excited where they are.”

The Browns scrambled for a quarterback following a season-ending injury to Deshaun Watson. Cleveland eventually landed on the available Flacco and has only lost one game since. The Browns’ offense has exploded with Flacco at the helm to go with what is one of the league’s best defenses.
Flacco spent 11 seasons with the Ravens, helping to lead the team to victory in Super Bowl XLVII with an incredible postseason performance that ended in being named Super Bowl MVP. He was replaced by Lamar Jackson as Baltimore’s starting quarterback midway through the 2018 season after being sidelined with an injury. The Ravens traded Flacco to the Denver Broncos the following offseason.
