Browns promote ex-Broncos WR, Patriots cut ex-Denver international player

A pair of former Denver Broncos players appeared on the NFL’s transaction wire going into the weekend.

The first move was the New England Patriots waiving defensive lineman Haggai Chisom Ndubuisi with a non-football illness designation. Ndubuisi (6-6, 298 pounds) is a Nigerian defensive end who entered in the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program with the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.

Ndubuisi later spent the 2023 season on Denver’s practice squad. He signed with the San Antonio Brahmas last February but ended up not playing in the UFL’s 2024 season. He later joined the Washington Commanders. Ndubuisi signed with New England on Jan. 1 this year, only to be waived one day later.

Elsewhere on the ex-Bronco front, the Cleveland Browns promoted wide receiver Kaden Davis from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of their season finale. Davis (6-1, 190 pounds) started his career in Denver in 2022, and he had two stints with the Broncos earlier this year.
