Browns Pro Bowler set to get MRI on knee after loss vs Bengals

The Cleveland Browns may be without Pro Bowl tight end David Njoku against the Miami Dolphins after suffering a knee injury against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media on Monday that Njoku is set to have an MRI on his knee as the team prepares for their Week 17 game. Njoku had missed the previous game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hampered hamstring. Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is also dealing with a calf injury that may put his status against the Dolphins in question.

However, it is only Monday and the Browns do not practice until Wednesday. Stefanski added that Njoku will play if he can play, and for a player who has fought through high ankle sprains and severe burns to stay on the field, there is plenty to believe in that statement.

We will have a better picture of the status of Njoku when the initial injury report comes out on Wednesday.
