After doing the unthinkable and de-cleating the previously undefeated San Francisco 49ers, the Cleveland Browns have seen their playoff odds take a massive jump. According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Browns now have a 51 percent chance to make the playoffs after sitting at 41 percent after their bye week.
They now have the second-best odds to win the AFC North of all of their rivals as well, sitting at a 23 percent chance to do so. The Baltimore Ravens, currently sitting at 4-2 on the season, have the highest odds to win the North at 52 percent.
The Browns now hit a stretch of games where they have a serious chance to make a run, especially if quarterback Deshaun Watson returns and plays like he did against the Tennessee Titans. Next up is the Indianapolis Colts as the 3-2 Browns look to stack some wins and take advantage of a generous schedule.
The Niners game was a great start to their post-bye action, but it is far from the finish. Up next: the Indianapolis Colts.
