The NFL has released the upcoming calendar for offseason workouts for all 32 teams in the league. For the Cleveland Browns, that kicks off in just 18 days.
The first day of the Browns voluntary offseason programs beings April 19th, a little over a week before the NFL draft. With turnover around the roster, this will give Kevin Stefanski and his staff the first look at some of the players. It will also give them a chance to assess the health of the players after a few months off.
Cleveland’s OTAs begin on May 24th. OTAs are broken up into three different groupings of three-day workouts.
Mandatory minicamp is slated to run June 14-16.
For Stefanski, getting Deshaun Watson and Amari Cooper together with the team’s great offensive line and running back group will be exciting. It will be interesting if the team is able to add to the roster before the first day on April 19th. Needs still exist when looking at the team’s 53-man roster.
It will also be interesting if the Browns are able to move on from Baker Mayfield before the 19th. If not, will the former top overall pick show up despite requesting to be traded?
Cleveland will also have a rookie minicamp but those dates are not available at this time.
