Browns’ Myles Garrett Was Asked Who He’d Pick Between Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson

Browns defensive end Myles Garrett faces two of the top NFL quarterbacks—Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and Bengals’ Joe Burrow—twice a year in the AFC North.

The four-time Pro Bowler was asked by Kay Adams on Tuesday which of these two quarterbacks he believes has the edge over the other. Even though he’s played against Jackson a bit more, Garrett thinks Burrow would be his selection this year.

“Right now, I mean, I think Joe’s coming on strong,” Garrett said on Up & Adams. “I feel like when he’s healthy, he’s one of those guys that can light you up each and every night. I mean Lamar, he’s doing it in such different ways. Even if his throwing is not on point that night, he can still rush for 150 and three touchdowns. It's just a matter of, he can beat you in a couple of different ways, or Joe can light you up for 400, and few people can do that in the league."

Garrett then clarified his comments saying that he would choose to sack Jackson and have Burrow be his quarterback.

“Well, I’m taking down Lamar but I’ll take Joe right now,” Garrett said.

Thus far in his career, Burrow has only beaten the Browns one time, which happened last season. Jackson holds a 7–3 record over the Browns so far as the Ravens' starter.

The Ravens lead the AFC North with a 7–2 record, while the Browns, Steelers and Bengals all hold 5–3 records.
