The Cleveland Browns kicked off their offseason media time with GM Andrew Berry talking at the NFL combine on Tuesday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski will follow with his time with the media on Wednesday.
Berry covered a number of topics during his time. As is the norm with the organization the last two years, he spent most of the 15 minutes not letting on to any of his thoughts or plans. Expect more of the same from Stefanski.
One tidbit of information that GM did cover was related to Jack Conklin who recently renegotiated his contract to stay with the team. Berry noted that Conklin was on schedule or slightly ahead of schedule for his rehab from a torn patella tendon in his knee.
Conklin has also been rehabbing his injury in the facility in Berea “every day” this offseason, according to Berry. The offensive tackle’s commitment to working to get back may have made it easier for the Browns to work with him to ensure his return for 2022.
While Conklin’s injury could delay his start of offseason activities, the organization has a front-row seat to watch him prepare for the season.
You can see part one of Berry’s media availability below. His answer regarding Conklin comes around the 4:45 mark of the video:
