A Devon hotel has been put for sale with a guide price of £1.45m. The owners of Browns Hotel in Dartmouth have appointed Savills, and joint agents Stephen Page and Partners, to bring the venue to market.
The boutique hotel, set in a four-storey Georgian terraced property on Victoria Road, has nine ensuite rooms, a three-bedroom manager’s apartment and a bistro and bar which can sit more than 40 covers.
Savills said prospective buyers would have scope to create further guest accommodation, subject to obtaining planning permission, as well as increasing the capacity of the restaurant.
Harriet Fuller, associate in the hotel capital markets team at Savills, said: “The sale of Browns offers an incoming purchaser a fantastic opportunity to operate a turnkey room operation or unique food and beverage with rooms business.
“We expect this to be a highly sought after asset with strong demand from a range of buyers. It is a profitable and stylish townhouse hotel, with a busy bistro and bar situated in a popular tourist destination, with potential to add further value subject to planning permission.”
