Browns force crucial turnover on downs in first quarter vs. Steelers

The Cleveland Browns’ defense forced an early turnover in the first quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a turnover on downs.

Cleveland’s defense has had mixed performances so far but held strong on fourth down after a rocky start to the drive. Pittsburgh’s second drive of the game started hot after big gains from Pat Friermuth and Najee Harris.

After that, they could only find the strong Browns defensive front. The turnover occurred on a fourth down carry from Steelers backup quarterback Justin Fields. The quarterback appeared to make the incorrect read on the play as he quickly ran into Browns defenders Myles Garrett and Grant Delpit.

Despite giving up some chunk yardage plays, the Browns have remained strong when they need to so far in this contest. Both drives have been very similar in their results, but Cleveland will need to improve. This will hopefully not be the last turnover of the game for the Browns as they continue to try and limit this explosive Steelers offense.
