Browns DT Mike Hall Jr. pleads down to disorderly conduct; now awaits NFL ruling

After being arrested and charged with domestic violence last month, Cleveland Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. has now had his case heard by a judge.

After his fiance recanted part of her statement that involved the use of a weapon, Hall Jr. has pled down from one count of domestic violence to one count of disorderly conduct. He has been fined $250, given a suspended 30-day jail sentence, and has been put on probation for two years.

The rookie second round pick, however, is still on the Commissioner’s Exempt List and has missed the first two games of the season. Now that his case is closed and he has formally pled guilty, the NFL should have a ruling turned around quickly.

With already two games served, it will be interesting if the NFL counts that as time served or if a new suspension will be in addition to.
