It feels absurd to say about a unit that was so bad a year ago, but the Cleveland Browns have made history on the defensive side of the football in a Week 3 win over the Tennessee Titans. Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz had his unit ready to play as they once again did not allow any points within the red zone in a 27-3 win at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
According to ESPN’s Jake Trotter, the Browns had a chance to be the first defense since at least 1978 to go the first three weeks without surrendering any red zone touchdowns. And as the only points scored by the Titans were on a long field goal, the Browns officially accomplished that goal.
