Browns DE Myles Garrett named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after superhuman effort vs. Colts

Not only did defensive end Myles Garrett become a minority owner in the Cleveland Cavaliers today, but the Cleveland Browns superstar also came away as the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Week. Instrumental in Cleveland’s chaotic 39-38 win over the Indianapolis Colts, Garrett willed his team to victory as they now sit at 4-2 on the season.

On the day, Garrett was credited with nine tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles (one of which resulted in a touchdown), and a superhuman blocked field goal attempt as well. There is a reason he is a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate and a reason why he may just win it this year. Garrett is having another monster season with the Browns.

Do not take what he does on a week-to-week and year-to-year basis. Garrett is a truly special player who is on pace to become a first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer after he retires.
