Most NFL teams announced roster cuts on Monday as they look to get to their official 53-man rosters, which is always one of the toughest times of the year in the sport.
For Browns offensive lineman Michael Dunn, who was one of the cuts, his day was surely filled with mixed emotions as Monday was also his birthday.
Weirdly enough, the Browns posted a graphic on social media wishing Dunn a happy birthday, as the team does for all its players. But, then two hours later Dunn’s name was on the list of cut players. Talk about an untimely announcement.
Now, the birthday post sits awkwardly on the Browns’ X, formerly known as Twitter, timeline.

Fans were shocked on social media to see that the Browns cut Dunn on his birthday in the first place, and then that the team kept the post up afterwards.
Oh and Ps. You're fired. Downright savage https://t.co/Qy2dMgaLFC

Dunn being cut came as a bit of surprising move for the Browns, as he’s appeared in 28 games with four starts in the last three years. He was often considered the main backup for Pro Bowl guards Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller.
