After the Cleveland Browns lost rookie Cameron Mitchell to IR, his former college teammate, Greg Newsome II, returned to the practice field. The Browns have dealt with their fair share of injuries this season but they continue to live by the next man-up mentality.
It was a shame to lose Mitchell, who had a fantastic game for a rookie last week against the Arizona Cardinals. If Newsome would be unavailable this Sunday, the team’s depth at the position would really be tested. But Newsome returned to practice for the team Thursday and seemed to be moving around well based on videos from practice.
The defense will need all hands on deck this Sunday against the Ravens, whose offense is one of the league’s best right now. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken and Lamar Jackson have been a great pairing for Baltimore as the offense has been explosive and high-scoring at the midpoint of the season.
