Browns ‘confident’ Deion Sanders has no issues if Shedeur Sanders selected

The Cleveland Browns hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, and they continue to be linked to Colorado Football quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

A hangup, however, has always been about whether or not the family, highlighted by his father Deion Sanders, would allow for the talented quarterback to play for the Browns. So Browns general manager Andrew Berry was asked about it at the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

When asked whether Deion would interfere in where his son was drafted, and if that meant Cleveland, Berry stated, “I don’t anticipate that being a problem.”

Sanders attended the East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas, this week and was on camera saying that he would be happy with whatever team drafted him there. Given Kevin Stefanski’s connection to Pat Shurmur, Colorado’s offensive coordinator, and new quarterback coach Bill Musgrave’s connection to Deion, the Browns are beginning to make sense for Sanders.

With the NFL draft three months away, there is still plenty to work out, but the Browns are not shying away from Sanders.
