Newcastle United forward Callum Wilson says that Eddie Howe has helped bring the city together since his arrival last November.
The Magpies have registered back-to-back victories over Fulham and Brentford respectively - scoring nine goals in the process - to climb into the top six. Howe's charges have lost just one of their opening nine league games (W3, D5, L1) as Newcastle continue to build during their new era under PIF.
The new ownership coupled with Howe's appointment has reinvigorated the club and helped banish memories of the Mike Ashley era. Wilson, who also worked with Howe at AFC Bournemouth, believes Howe has brought a culture to the club that has seen everyone pulling in the same direction.
"I'd worked with him [Howe] in the past and knew how much of a good manager he was. He brings a culture, a togetherness," Wilson told BBC Radio 5 Live.

Wilson continued: "I think that, alongside the takeover that happened, it's brought the whole city together. The fans, the football club... everyone associated with it feels like they want success for Newcastle now and it's helped the players put in performances.
"Everyone is getting behind the team, which is nice to see and be a part of."
Newcastle face Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham respectively in their next three games, while Chelsea travel to St James' Park just before the six-week break for the World Cup.
Although Newcastle are just two points adrift of the top four (albeit having played a game more than Man United and Chelsea), Wilson insists "baby steps" are the key to success.
"We know what the Premier League is like, it can turn quickly," Wilson warned. "So it's baby steps... we know we're heading in the right direction but it's more about performances week in, week out and then the result will take care of itself.
"For us as a squad, [it's about] forgetting what's going on outside of Newcastle and all of the hype that's going on around it and what should be happening. Yes, we've been taken over and there's investment in the squad but it's a slow transition.
"You can't just get players that fit straight into the team - they need to gel. The manager is working hard to do that but it's about baby steps. Last season was disappointing. Improving on that is the most important thing.
"As a player, you want to get into the get 10 and start pushing higher up the league. We're sitting pretty in the top six at the moment, but we know how quickly it turns."
