Palghar: A teenager was allegedly raped multiple times and forced to undergo an abortion by her brother and uncle in Maharashtra's Palghar district, police said on Friday.
After the teenager approached the police and narrated her ordeal to them, the police arrested her 18-year-old brother and uncle.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the 16-year-old girl was raped repeatedly by her sibling and uncle between October and December in 2024.
She Forced to Undergo Abortion
When she became pregnant, she was taken to Mumbai and forced to undergone a medical procedure to terminate the pregnancy.
Case Lodged
A case was filled against both the accused under varous sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the officer added. (With Agency Inputs)
