A Stockwood man who had a bust up with his family threatened to kill his sister, a court heard. Terry Woodman found that a mattress he had been using had been removed and fell into an "extremely foul mood".
He told his sister: "If you call the police, wait until they go and I'll come back and kill you." Woodman, 37, of, Bifield Road, pleaded guilty to assault in November last year.
Judge William Hart fined him £100 and told him to pay £100 compensation to his sister. The judge told him: "You have a long list of convictions. A lot have been to fund a drug habit."

Neil Treharne, prosecuting, told Bristol Crown Court Woodman was staying with family when he left the house in the early hours and slept elsewhere. When he returned later he found a mattress had been moved from the room he was using.
Mr Treharne said: "He was said to be in an extremely foul mood". The court was told Woodman then punched and kicked his sister.
Mr Treharne added: "He slapped her. He told her 'if you call the police, wait until they go and I'll come back and kill you'."
The court heard the complainant managed to get away from Woodman and call police. Ehsanul Oarith, defending, said his client was prone to seizures at the time which meant he may not act in a calm and measured way.
Mr Oarith said Woodman was no longer using drugs and was now in a much better position. He added that Woodman's plan was to move from Bristol and suggested the judge impose either a fine or a community order.
