Bros star Matt Goss issues plea to brother after admitting they're no longer talking

Bros star Matt Goss confessed he and his twin brother Luke aren't on speaking terms as he begged him for a conversation.

The 54-year-old made an appearance on Thursday's Good Morning Britain where he discussed his future prospects for Glastonbury Festival.

Halfway through the chat, Matt admitted he and his brother haven't spoken for four months.

He used the opportunity to beg his brother for reconciliation while live on air.

"Well we're not talking at the moment," he admitted, prompting hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard to ask why.

Matt added: "We're just, look, Luke, if you're watching this, we should talk at least. It's weird going on national TV and asking my brother but it's quite funny.

"The family, we're just so dysfunctional me and Luke sometimes, we haven't spoken for about four or five months now.

"When we were talking, it was all 2024, new album, we were talking to a couple of production companies at the moment to do a follow-up of us."

He continued: "Actually make new music, take away the nostalgic side and actually go back on stage. What we really want to do is be on stage, together."

Susanna, 52, then asked who needs to make the first move.

"I think, I'm on TV right now, I think that I'm trying," Matt confessed. "It's not that bad in the fact we can't find a way but I just don't want to be coming on TV and saying: 'It's all great' because it's not!"

Susanna praised Matt for behind honest and told Luke she hopes the two can "make up and make it work".

"We love you and want to see you happy apart from anything else, it's not good when families break down and you two are so close," she said.

Matt and Luke formed Bros in 1986 with their pal Craig Logan.

They achieved chart success and a huge fanbase in 1988 with the songs When Will I Be Famous and I Owe You Nothing.

Craig soon quit the band and the twins continued as a duo. The band split up in 1992.

Matt and Luke last reunited in 2017 for two concerts at London's O2.

The following year a documentary Bros: After the Screaming Stops, chronicled the boyband's reconciliation.

Earlier this year, Matt said he wants a Bros comeback in 2024 with a new documentary about them making their first new music since 1991.

Mirror have contacted Luke's rep for comment.
