Brooks Koepka has doubled down on Greg Norman 's latest comments after the LIV Golf CEO claimed he has a 'long list of players' wanting to join the Saudi-backed circuit.
LIV is set for its biggest week since forming 10 months ago, after Norman decided to take the breakaway league to his home country of Australia for the very first time. The likes of Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson and fan favourite Cam Smith will tee it up at The Grange in Adelaide, with the event kicking off on Friday.
Once again the same 48 players confirmed by LIV at the beginning of the campaign will compete around the Adelaide track in their fourth tournament of 2023.
Just over 12 months ago, a number of golf's biggest names - including Koepka and Johnson - ruled themselves out of making the controversial move from the PGA Tour to LIV. One year on though, the breakaway circuit boasts an impressive roster, and Norman has revealed it could be set to get even better.
He told the NCA NewsWire: “It’s an ongoing process. We’ve got a long list of players who want to come in. We just don’t have the ability today because players are under contract. But we’ll get to a position where there will be a relegation series and places will start opening up.”
As it stands LIV's reduced field, no-cut events contain 12 evenly split teams. Whilst bigger fields in the future may lead to a wider spread of the Saudi circuit's mega-money prize pots, one man who has welcomed it is LIV Orlando champion Koepka.
Sharing Norman's thoughts on the rebel circuit's places being in demand, he commented: "Look, I‘m sure there’s a bunch of guys who are still looking to come over, whether that be college players, younger players, to guys that play on the PGA Tour or DP Tour.

"I’m sure there are people looking to join. But yeah, you can always add depth to anything. The stronger we get, the better we are.” Asked he himself had personally looked to poach any of his fellow stars, he added: "I haven’t spoken to anybody that’s on that level to be like, 'Hey, are you coming over to play?'
"It’s not my style. It’s not usually how I approach anybody.” Koepka heads into the event in Adelaide on the back of an impressive run of form. Earlier this month, the four-time major champion secured his second-ever LIV title with victory in Orlando, before going on to secure a tied-second finish at the Masters on his return to the PGA Tour.
