They sound pretty similar, right? And they are, but each mattress has specific features that will make it better suited to different sleepers.

However, with the pillow top, the MSRP is $1,732, dropping to $1,299. That’s a fantastic price for one of the best hybrid mattresses out there. However, we have seen this sale increase to 30% off during major sale events such as Presidents’ Day and Black Friday.
The Aurora Luxe is the more premium mattress, with an extra layer and specialist cooling tech bumping the MSRP of a queen to $2,265.

The Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid has a classic hybrid design. If you opt for the cooling pillow-top, the mattress starts with a GlacioTex and pressure-relieving foam layer that contours to the body. If not, the mattress starts with a breathable, quilted top.
Beneath this is 1.5 inches of response comfort foam that responds to your body as you move, followed by a 1-inch layer of Variflex transition foam featuring deep compression support.
Then comes the 8-inch individually encased coils that aim to isolate motion and provide spinal support throughout the night, no matter your sleeping position. Beneath the coils sits a 0.25-inch flex base for durability.
The Aurora Luxe is very similar in design, but there are a few key differences. Above the 2-inch response comfort foam layer is a 1.5-inch layer of CopperFlex with TitanCool foam.
This material draws heat away from the body and disperses it across the mattress to stop sleepers from overheating.
The 8-inch coils in the Aurora Luxe are individually encased, but they're also zoned, which results in an incredibly supportive surface with enhanced lumbar support.
The base foam beneath this is 0.75 inches (instead of the 0.25 inches in the Signature Hybrid,) for even more durability and reinforcement.

Firmness is subjective and with each mattress available in soft, medium and firm feels, as well as the optional pillow top, nearly all sleepers will be able to find a match for them.
We got hands-on with the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid mattress in a medium feel and spent several weeks sleeping on the firm feel with pillow-top. Both had a bouncy, springy feel while remaining supportive.
Our lead tester for the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid mattress review noted that the Cloud Pillow Top adds a luxurious layer of plushness, but when leaning on the bed, the firm support beneath makes itself evident.
This means you still sleep on top of the mattress, rather than sinking into it (sink is characteristic of many of the best memory foam mattresses.)
The Signature Hybrid is a mattress that will isolate motion well, with our testing panel awarding the minimal movement transfer 4 out of 5 — a great choice for couples. While edge support is fairly good, it’s let down by the corners of the mattress and the foot of the bed, where our tester reported that the bed collapsed beneath them.
We tried the medium firm option for our Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe mattress review, and our lead tester found it excellent for side sleepers.
The cloud-like sinkage, pressure relief and contouring meant that our testing panel felt both comfortable and supported the whole night. Edge support was also impressive, with the edges staying strong when sitting on them.
However, motion isolation was disappointing and we concluded you’d definitely feel your partner moving around at night.
So, if your main gripe is a restless partner keeping you up at night, the Signature Hybrid might be the better option. But if you rely on sturdy edge support and are seeking a luxury feel, the Aurora Luxe will probably be better suited to you.
Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid vs Aurora Luxe: Temperature control

Both have hybrid structures which improves airflow and therefore temperature regulation, but the Aurora Luxe’s CopperFlex foam draws heat away from the body, making it easier for sleepers to feel cool and comfortable.
The Aurora Luxe is up there with the best cooling mattresses of the year, so it’s no surprise it out performs the Signature Hybrid.
Our reviewer reported that the first time she actively woke in the night due to overheating occurred when sleeping on the Signature Hybrid, despite her bedroom (and the weather) staying cool.
It’s worth noting as well that this was with the cooling pillow top option, designed to disperse heat.
Whereas the Aurora Luxe scored 4 out of 5 for temperature regulation, with our lead reviewer saying the mattress remained cool no matter the weather.
